US Government Interference in Venezuelan Electoral Process: A Violation of Sovereignty

2023-07-01 15:44:05

Caracas.- Through a statement, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry affirmed that the United States government interferes in “internal affairs, by trying to establish a position in relation to different aspects of the future Venezuelan electoral process of 2024,” the text indicates.

The Government of Venezuela described the pronouncement of the United States on the political disqualification of María Corina Machado as “a new attempt at interference”.

The authorities suggest that the US government “apply timely and fair corrections to its electoral system before seeking to issue value judgments on the legitimate actions of the democratic institutions of other countries,” the official text highlights.

“The US has no morals or the right to comment on the political processes in our country, which has amply demonstrated that it is sovereign and independent,” the document published on Twitter cites.
