It was sporty for Thomas tumbles really good last season. The Swiss won his first World Cup race in Beaver Creek and then won the World Cup in Saalbach Sensational silver in the team competition and in the giant slalom, where it was only beaten by Raphael Haaser.
Separation after only 7 months of marriage
However, the 35-year-old had to get through a difficult time privately. As Tumler reveals, his marriage failed. “My wife Svenja and I only separated seven months after the wedding,” says the vice world champion openly.

Tumler does not give reasons for the separation. “In the meantime, however, this wound has healed properly. And I am grateful for seven very nice years that I was allowed to spend with Svenja.”
Tumler and Svenja Hefti were a couple for seven years before they got married last year. Even Roger Federer had congratulated the couple at the time by video for the wedding.
