Videos circulated on social media showing a zebra wandering the busy roads of Seoul for hours before it was returned to the zoo from which it escaped.
According to the Gwangjin Fire Department, officers received the first report at 3:43 p.m., about a zebra roaming freely around the area.
An official from the station told CNN that firefighters managed to trap the animal while waiting for zoo officials to arrive.
A team sent by the zoo arrived about half an hour later to give him seven doses of a muscle relaxant that eventually calmed him, and he was then driven back to the zoo.
