Jeremiah Bigelow and his brother saw what this moose was getting excited regarding. While they had gone on a snowmobile on the tracks of Palisades Reservoir in the State of Idaho, they crossed the road of a moose. Blocking the way following having attacked for the first time, the animal – which can measure up to 2m at the withers – stands motionless. The pilot of one of the machines dismounts, stares at the beast which pretends to leave. Then finally starts charging. In a desperate attempt, the man stands on his machine, wants to scare the deer by raising his arms but too late, the charge has sounded, impossible to flee with the snowmobile.
Mr. Bigelow barely has time to jump and the animal overturns the motorcycle. “The moose was going to charge no matter what. What we should have done was get on the sled and turn around… My brother should have given him more space, just given him some space. space to do what he wants. It all happened very quickly”, Bigelow told KVMT11. Neither the animal nor the snowmobile riders were injured in this encounter.
