For all these reasons, Dubai Airports activated response teams to work closely with airlines and other service partners with the aim of “restore normal operations as soon as possible and minimize inconvenience” to passengers.

Given these circumstances, they recommended travelers to use the Dubai metro “for smoother traffic” and taking advantage of the fact that the metropolitan extended its service until 03:00 hours (23:00 GMT).

On the other hand, the Government of Dubai extended remote work for public employees until tomorrowWednesday, April 17, due to weather conditions, as reported in a statement on his X account.

“Private schools in Dubai have also been ordered to continue with distance learning tomorrow. “Private sector entities are urged to adopt remote work tomorrow and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of everyone,” the note states.

Numerous citizens shared through the social network X several videos and photographs of the airport, roads and shopping centers flooded by the torrential rains that have affected the emirate throughout this day.
