Do you remember the white car that American actor Leonardo DiCaprio drove in his famous movie “The Wolf of Wall Street” in 2013? It is now for sale for more than a million dollars, despite its deteriorating condition as a result of the damage it sustained during filming.

This came in information revealed by TMZ, indicating that the Lamborghini Countach will join the Bonhams Cars lineup next month at the famous Abu Dhabi “On the Grid” auction, marking the first appearance of the car since the film’s filming ended.

The lucky buyer will receive one of the film’s four most iconic costumes, a director’s chair and a clacket board, both signed by the director and hero, as well as two crew jackets, a DVD of the film, and a royalty letter.

This car, a 25th Anniversary Edition of a 1989 Lamborghini Countach, will be offered at auction with an estimated price of $1.5 million to $2 million, despite its damaged condition, as it was in the scene filmed 10 years ago.

But despite its damage, the car still maintains its doors that open upwards like scissors, and its elegant and distinctive layout, as it is a car of which only 658 were produced, for speed enthusiasts to use on their outings.

The site pointed out that director Martin Scorsese kept this damaged car for a decade, considering it a lucky charm for him, or a machine for successfully moving through time from the history of the film’s story to the present world.

The film’s story revolves around stockbroker Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio), who tells his point of view about his career as a stockbroker in New York City, and the involvement of his company, Stratton Oakmont, in a major fraud case, which included several forms of corruption on private Wall Street. In stocks, in the 1990s, which ultimately led to its downfall.

The Lamborghini Countach appears in the famous scene, where Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays Jordan Belfort, crawls into the supercar in a miserable condition to take it home, before the police arrest him at the end of the scene.

Paramount Pictures, which produced the film, had rented a second Lamborghini during filming, to serve as a backup car, and it was only used for a few seconds after the original car currently for sale was destroyed.
