According to the judicial authority, the first findings made on the body of the forty-year-old confirm the thesis of a violent death and a voluntary act. “Several non-lethal stab wounds were discovered on the victim’s body. The latter also appears to have suffered a cerebral hemorrhage”, details the prosecution on Wednesday at the end of the day. An autopsy is already scheduled for this Wednesday evening. This duty will make it possible to know precisely the cause of death and to establish an initial sequence of events.
The occupant of the home was quickly arrested and brought to justice. Following her hearing by the investigating judge, the suspect was charged and placed under arrest warrant for intentional homicide. Visibly suffering from psychiatric problems, the woman was not able to provide further information on the reasons which would have pushed her to commit the homicide.
It is still unclear how the scene unfolded, but also the reasons which pushed the victim to go there. The only known element: the alert was given to the local police by the husband of the accused, as soon as he returned home. “We do not know how long he had been gone and how long the victim had been present at the scene. He noticed the facts when he returned home”specifies Sandrine Vairon, division prosecutor of Charleroi.
The second planned investigative duty is a mental assessment. The accused will be examined in prison by a doctor and a report will follow to clarify the nature of the psychiatric problems and their possible influence on the suspect’s behavior…
