Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Warsaw on Wednesday. Traffic disruptions and changes in the functioning of public transport are to be expected on this day.

Bus and tram routes are expected to change. If the streets are closed to traffic by the police, public transport vehicles will be directed to detours along the nearest passable streets. Their routes can also be shortened.
On Wednesday, passengers will be helped by Warsaw Public Transport informants. In key places, they will direct you to the best available means of transport. Traffic supervision instructors will work on the streets of Warsaw. Current information on the functioning of public transport can be checked:
– on the WTP website
– in WTP social media – in a “live” report from the streets of Warsaw on Wednesday from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The city encourages the use of the subway and trains. ZTM tickets are honored on Koleje Mazowieckie trains and on selected connections of other railway carriers. Passengers with ZTM cardboard tickets that have not been validated before should “validate” them by permanently writing the date and time of the start of the journey on the back of the ticket, in the 24-hour format, e.g. Persons with tickets encoded on the cards must activate them in advance on the tram or bus or at the metro gate, or after reporting to the train manager.
