Today, Thursday, independent politician Laith Shubar considered that the unified Friday prayer called for by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, is the first step of the “resounding” Sadrist movement in the next stage.

In a televised interview, Shubar described everyone who believes that the Sadrist movement and the Sadrist public, or (Muqtada al-Sadr) will withdraw from the political process, as “delusional.”

He added that “the upcoming Friday prayer is a first step to boost morale among the Sadrist leaders,” as he put it.

He explained that “the unified prayer will be an extrapolation of the reality of the Sadrist movement today, and the extent of its cohesion around its leadership.”

He stressed that “Al-Sadr’s call for unified prayer is a message to the ruling political forces that the Sadrist movement still exists.”

Shubbar explained that “the sermon may not include political speech, but rather political overtones with targeted messages,” as he described it.

He concluded by saying, “Friday prayers will be the expected movement of the Sadrist movement, which will be resounding in the next stage, and depend on it to correct the paths of what is happening today.” as he put it.
