Rescue services are regularly confronted with crisis situations involving animals: car accident, fire in a barn, floods, to name but a few examples.
Whether the animal is injured or represents a danger, the support of a veterinarian can be very useful. And for this intervention to be effective and risk-free, it is better for the veterinarian to be trained. This is the purpose of the VUSC (Veterinarians-Emergency Rescue and Catastrophe) certificate offered by the University of Liège. Since its creation in 2020, around thirty veterinarians have been certified.
