Next Sunday, September 17, the “Murex d’Or” awards ceremony will be held, where the names of this year’s award winners will be revealed.
According to special information from “Greater Lebanon”, it was learned that the artist Wael Kfoury was nominated for the Best Lebanese Artist award in the singing category, but he apologized for not attending to receive it, which led to the annoyance of those in charge of the festival, and it was decided that the award would go to the artist Ziad Bourji for the song ” And “Bateer” which is still the subject of disagreement between him and the artist Elissa.
Among the honorees was also known the Syrian actor Qais Sheikh Najib for the role of Karim, which he played in the series “Stilto”.
Producer Sadiq Al-Sabah will be absent from the ceremony for special reasons, despite the series “Fire with Fire” winning the Best Arabic Series award and its three heroes Abed Fahd, George Khabbaz and Karis Bashar receiving awards at the festival.
The ceremony will be attended by producer Jamal Sinan and his wife, actress Maggie Bou Ghosn, who will present the award for best Lebanese actress to the artist Ward Al Khal for her role as Karma in the series “For Death 3,” and the writer of the work, Nadine Jaber, will receive the award for best writer.
Also among the honorees are the international tenor Placido Domingo, and the heroine of the Turkish series “Forbidden Apples”, actress Cheval Sam, in addition to the Egyptian singer Ahmed Saad, who will receive the award for best Arab artist.
The concert will be shown on LBC after an absence of 14 years and will be presented by Hilda Khalife.
