SEATTLE (AP) — Kenneth Walker III rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns in the second half, Jason Myers made five field goals, and the Seattle Seahawks made a second-half run in a 37-27 victory over the Panthers from Carolina on Sunday.

Walker was the star on a day when things were not easy for Seattle’s offense during the first three quarters, but the running back produced big plays both on the ground and in the air. His 36-yard reception in the middle of the third quarter set up his one-yard score after Seattle had to settle for field goals every time it managed to invade Carolina’s field.

Walker later restored a two-score lead for Seattle (2-1) by racing untouched for a 7-yard touchdown with 11:40 left.

Myers made field goals of 43, 35, 33, 37, and 39 yards a week after starting the season with only 3 of 6 attempts in his first two games.

Veteran Andy Dalton was Carolina’s starting quarterback, replacing the first overall pick in the draft, Bryce Young, who was out due to an ankle injury suffered last Monday in the loss to New Orleans.
