Al-Marsad newspaper: A recent medical study revealed that walking quickly can help reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

According to the study, published in the journal Diabetology, walking at a speed of 3.7 miles per hour (6 kilometers per hour) can reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by a third.

The researchers found that people who walked quickly were 33 percent less likely to develop type 2 diabetes compared to those who walked slowly, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”.

The study concluded that walking briskly might be an effective way to prevent type 2 diabetes, especially for people who have other risk factors for the disease, such as obesity or a family history of diabetes.
