Washington: Life imprisonment for an ISIS leader

On Friday, the US Department of Justice announced the issuance of a life sentence to the media official of ISIS, the foreign fighter, Muhammad Khalifa.

“The United States has sentenced a Saudi-born Canadian man to life imprisonment for conspiracy to provide material support to ISIS,” the US Department of Justice said in a statement.

The statement indicated that “Khalifa took prominent positions within the organization starting in 2013 and was personally involved in the killing of two Syrian soldiers,” adding that “Khalifa pleaded guilty to helping ISIS during last December.”
