Energy production from biowaste is underutilized
The taxed bags of Lausanne residents still contain 8% biodegradable waste. This reduces the production of biogas and electricity.
The inhabitants of Lausanne, although good students, are called upon to better sort their bio-waste. Nearly 150 cars could cover 20,000 kilometers per year on biogas using the organic waste found in taxable bags in the Vaud capital.
