Watching a movie on Telegram is like sneaking in: Tovino Thomas
Thallumala is the latest film with Tovino Thomas as the hero. In an interview given to YouTube channel M for Tech regarding the promotion of the film, Tovino Thomas is answering the question of what he has to say to those who watch fake versions of films using Telegram.
Tovino says that when he spoke to some friends, there are even people who don’t know that downloading movies from Telegram is illegal, and many people see Telegram as a combination of OTT platforms.
‘ Many say like Netflix, Amazon, Telegram. Telegram should not be seen as another OTT platform. OTT platforms make money and producers pay money to buy and screen movies,’ says Tovino.
“What comes on Telegram is a pirated copy, we can use it by buying or stealing it. It’s like stealing Telegram,’ adds Tovino.
Meanwhile, Thallumala will hit the theaters on August 12. Kalyani Priyadarshan is the heroine in the film. Apart from the two, the film also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Binu Pappu, Adri Joy in lead roles.
The film is produced by Ashiq Usman under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions. Muhsin Parari has written the screenplay for the film. The movie is directed by Khalid Rahman.
