Elizalde after meeting with Boric: “We have reiterated our willingness to contribute”
A few hours after announcing the cabinet, the elected president, Gabriel Boric, met with the former New Majority. After the appointment, the president of the Socialist party assured that they have not “asked for anything” and that they maintain the position of contributing to the success of the next government, “especially when there are important changes to implement,” he said.

Regarding the appointment, the PS helmsman indicated at the exit that “we have not asked for anything and he has been explicit in pointing out that his will is to have a broad call, regarding the kind of social and political support of his Government,. We have reiterated our willingness to contribute whatever is necessary.”
“He’s going to have the support of our parliamentary caucuses to carry out his government,” explained Elizalde.
