SfiKES gave us a carnival-like thrill with their impressive act “Stairs 2024” which they presented on Thursday, March 14, on the stairs of Trion Navarchon, as part of the events of the Patrinos Carnival 2024.

A crowd of people came to watch the original event held in collaboration with the Region of Western Greece and the support of KEDIP Patras Carnival.

The event had a reference to Verdi’s Opera “AIDA”, and involved 120 people in impressive costumes who captivated the eyes under the sounds of epic music using the stairs of the Three Admirals. Departments of the MA School of Performing Arts and members of crews 94 and 210 collaborated with SFIGKES.

After the Trion Navarchon, the action unfolded in the streets of Patras with a parade of troupe members following the route Perimetriki Ypsilon Alonia-Gounari-Corinthou-Georgiou A’ Square. In George I Square, the square where the heart of the Patron Carnival traditionally beats, the performers presented excerpts from the action and were photographed in impressive shots against the background of the illuminated facade of the Municipal Theater “Apollo”, an emblematic place of Patras where opera flourished and connected with the history of the Carnival.
