Wellbeing 360, 10 years of providing wellness

Well-being and happiness are topics that are becoming increasingly interesting for people and organizations. At least that is reflected in the figures of our Wellbeing 360 that we have been organizing for the tenth uninterrupted year.

Our annual event is a forum in which the most outstanding researchers, professors and wellness promoters in the world they present us with tools so that we can live better and be happy.

There have been Martin Seligman, Kim Cameron, Barbara Fredickson, Tal Ben-Shahar, Simón Cohen, Marisa Salanova, so many happiness gurus that this article would not be enough to put all their names.

The figures are very eloquent. We started in 2013, with 30,675 participants; 2,575 face-to-face and 28,100 virtual (already since then we have been experimenting with digital communication tools).

Not without ups and downs, for 2020, we reached 49,500 participants, with great surprise, all virtual, forced by the pandemic. Last year, we were 44,000, virtual alike.

This year we return to the hybrid format and we are sure that we will have great results, since the pandemic has made us understand that wellness stuff we cannot leave them to chance or to the will of others.

It is up to us to take charge of our mind and the management of our emotions to achieve our happiness.

So for October 17 to 20, we bring you Kelly McGonigal, Marisa Salanova, Timothy Sharp, Raj Raghunathan or Masaya Okamoto, among many others. In https://wellbeing360.mx/index.html You can find all the details, in addition to the fact that your participation is free of charge.

We will deal with the issues of well-being and happiness from the five axes that we like to focus on: Positive Organizations, Positive Families, Positive Education, Life with a Purpose and Well-Being Cities.

Undoubtedly, the pandemic will continue to be one of the topics that we will address, especially to analyze the long-term effects that it has left us and the way in which we can mitigate the damage to students, workers, families, and the environment that surrounds us.

It seems like yesterday, when Salvador Alva, then president of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, encouraged us to give greater weight and creativity to the subject of happiness at Tecmilenio University.

A group of academics took on the task of redesigning our university around the teaching of happiness.

Thus was born, 10 years ago, what we now call the Institute of Integral Welfare Sciences, and in all this time we have shared with students, academics, workers, leaders, businessmen and public officials the secrets that science has revealed around happiness. , well-being, managing emotions, positive communication, resilience, appreciative inquiry and so many topics that make us better human beings.

Our Wellbeing 360 can be a great start in preparing us to take control of our wellbeing and happiness.
