What Avdeevka looks like now
“For all the time of our work, we have never commented on the actions of the command or assessed them. We are not military, we don’t know everything, we don’t see the whole picture, and, accordingly, we didn’t want to create “treason.” But today, under these photographs, made by us near Avdeevka, when before our eyes the city and surrounding areas were non-stop leveled to the ground with all types of weapons, we want to publicly ask one question – where is the second line of defense? – photographers write.
They add that the Russians began to form an encirclement around the city almost a year ago, so the encirclement did not come as a surprise to the Ukrainian army.
“While we were waiting for weapons for the Zaporozhye counter-offensive, the enemy passed through the fields, concreted trenches, built entire underground cities. And the Zaporozhye counter-offensive failed,” the Liberovs say.

They note that they do not understand why our army did not prepare for the fact that one day the Russians would throw all their forces at Avdeevka. Moreover, a blind defense, the purpose of which is to deplete the enemy’s forces, is our official strategy.
“The photo shows what this defense looks like, and whose forces it actually depletes. Yes, we are still civilians. We still don’t know everything, we don’t see the whole picture. But this question is posed here not only by us, but and the military, who today, at the cost of their own lives, are holding this defense with all their might. And they don’t understand why we haven’t prepared in any way for almost a year for the shit that’s happening now,” the photographers write.
