Without clarifying the reason for what happened inside the facilities of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the UAT the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, made a call to no violence through their official social networks.
The above happened in the early hours of this Thursday January 5, 2023where the document signed with the phrase “Truth, Beauty and Probity” invited the community to healthy coexistence and respect.
What does the document say about the attacks at the UAT veterinary school?
Clarifying two important points in the document, it mentions that the corresponding processes of research to determine responsibilities for the events that occurred within the aforementioned institution.
“Given the events that occurred in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics “Dr. Norberto Trevino Shoe” FMVZ where several collaborators of this unit were attacked, we allow ourselves to clarify the following: the complaints corresponding before the ministerial authority of the state”, reads in the first two paragraphs.
The letter does not mention the names of the people who were injured in the violent situation, but they assure that they will reach the last consequences.
Sanctions will be applied at the end of the investigation.
“Once the investigation process is completed, the final consequences will be reached and the corresponding sanctions will be applied in accordance with the provisions of our university legislation”, expose.
It is important to mention that the director of the FMVZ of the UAT, Flaviano Benavides, recently joined the board of directors of the Mexican Association of Schools and Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics ACand on January 3, the faculty began the registration process for the spring 2023-1 period.

“We reiterate our total and complete repudiation of any act or form of violence within the university facilities or among the members of the university community, always prioritizing the rule of law and healthy coexistence”, mentions the UAT after explaining what happened in the college of veterinarians.
