The traffic accident in which Freddy Rincón was involved left three other people injured in addition to the former soccer player, confirmed the Cali authorities who, in the last few hours, delivered an official report of the accident registered in the early hours of this Monday in the south of the city.
According to what Mayor Jorge Iván Ospina detailed about the incident, the driver of the MÍO vehicle that collided with the van in which Rincón was traveling also had serious injuries, for which he had to be taken to a medical center.

In this regard, from Metro Cali they explained that the man suffered a fracture in his left leg, as well as a severe blow to the head and other injuries to his body. The operator, who was moving along the road corridor of MÍO when the accident occurred, had to undergo surgery and his health status is stable.
Although it was known that Freddy Rincón was traveling in the truck with three other people, so far only the health status of two women is known, who, apparently, were the ones who were in the back of the vehicle. According to the Mayor, at the moment it is unknown who was driving the car.
Regarding the health status of the passengers, it was revealed that one of them is 20 years old and was taken to the Colombia Clinic where she underwent a breathalyzer test, which had a negative result. The other woman, 43 years old and who was transferred to the same medical center, left the clinic without serious injuries, confirmed the President.

“We have carried out a breathalyzer test on the driver of MÍO mass transport, which came out negative; also on one of the companions who was at the Colombia Clinic, and it also turned out negative. We are trying to contact the second lady and the fourth companion to carry out the respective interview and to be able to carry out the breathalyzer tests,” said the Undersecretary of Mobility, Edwing Candelo.
It should be remembered that the Imbanaco Clinic, a medical center where Freddy Rincón is located after suffering the spectacular traffic accident at dawn on Monday, gave the second part of the former soccer player’s state of health, which is “extremely serious”.
“Freddy Eusebio underwent surgery. A surgery that took 2 hours, 45 minutes. Once operated, he has been transferred to our Intensive Care Unit. His condition, taking into account the very delicate findings in surgery, is very critical”, mentioned Laureano Quintero, Medical Director of the Imbanaco Clinic.
