Last week the Government announced new aid for the most vulnerable population in the country. Among these benefits are the extension of the Labor IFE, the Protect Subsidy and the Parental Post Natal. In addition, the new subsidy called Chile Supports Winter Bonus.
The Winter Bonus consists of a monetary contribution one-time payment of $120,000 for each cause of a homeand this promises to help around 7.5 million people affected by the economic crisis.
On July 13, the processing of the bill began in the Lower House, which approved unanimously and quickly dispatched the initiative to the Senate.
It should be noted that the Executive expects the Chile Supports Winter Bonus to be start shipping in late July or early August.
Los requirements to be a beneficiary are, receive or have received, any of the following subsidies:
- Permanent Family Contribution (includes those responsible for the Single Family Subsidy, Family and Maternal Allowance and families using the “Securities and Opportunities” subsystem).
- Winter Bonus for May pensioners
- Mental Disability Allowance
- Disability Solidarity Pension Contribution
- Basic Solidarity Disability Pension
- Households that as of August 1, 2022 belong to the 60% more vulnerable and who have in their home a person over 60 years of age, under 18 years of age, a person with a disability, a person with severe or moderate dependency, or a student with special educational needs.
When is the Winter Bonus voted and what is missing for it to start paying?
