Who says new football season necessarily says new video game of the flagship series in the field, namely FIFA, from EA Sports. But in 2023, small changes are to be expected, already in the name of the new opus. Then also in the price of the game? The answer here.

Like every summer, when real-world players begin to return to training to prepare for the new season with their club, EA Sports sends new information – and often a trailer – of its next opus of FIFA. 2023 is no exception to the rule, with a little originality, for this year then the following ones: a change of name. Indeed, it is no longer necessary to say FIFAbut good EAFCthe new name of the license, and specifically this year EAFC 24 – or EA Sports FC 24 in a long version -, which will therefore take over from the much criticized FIFA 23.
But when will he take it, this sequel?
Two planned release dates
The information was revealed recently: as often, we will have the possibility of acquiring the new iteration on two occasions. Obviously, the sooner the more expensive. By picking up the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 24, which is naturally priced higher than the Standard Edition – as we’ll see later – you’ll get early access to the game, namely September 22, 2023. It’s the same date as last year.

The Ultimate edition bonuses were unveiled on July 13: you’ll be entitled to 46,000 FC Points – the in-game currency -, Erling Haaland on loan, access to the Nike campaign – a mysterious new -, a TOTW player – Team of the week – and a Heroes card in November – if you’re lucky you’ll find David Ginola, Yaya Touré or Antonio Di Natale, and if you’re not, on Peter Crouch or Ledley King. You will also be able to come across female players, since this year, the teams will be mixed.
The Standard edition of EAFC24 will be released 7 days later, on September 29, 2023. In addition, you will be able to take advantage of 10 hours early access, from September 22, by subscribing to a one-month subscription without commitment. to EA Play, the Canadian studio’s subscription service.
Prices on consoles and PC
The prices of EA Sports FC 24 have been revealed on all platforms, namely PC, but also consoles. The Nintendo Switch version has also been confirmed: uncertainty weighed on it.
The official prices on PC
On PC, there is an evolution… upwards, unfortunately, in the price of the Ultimate edition, which will therefore be sold at 99 euros. Or 10 euros more than for FIFA 23. For the Standard version, on the other hand, nothing changes: it is always 69.99 euros.

For PlayStation and Xbox consoles, next gen and old gen, the price is similar to last year, and higher than 10 euros for the two versions on PC:

For the Switch, the price is lower in the only version available:

When are the pre-orders?
The game was unveiled by EA Sports on July 13, via a trailer that doesn’t show much of the game itself. After the reveal of this video, pre-orders for EAFC 24 have been opened. You have until the end of August to do so.
