What will change for Proximus, Orange and Voo customers in December

New offer at Orange, new partnership between operators and above all the arrival of a new player on the market. There is a breath of fresh air in the Belgian telecoms market.

Telenet in negotiation with Orange

The operator Telenet has confirmed that it has entered into negotiations with Orange, the future owner of Voo, regarding access to the Voo network for its customers. The partnership is far from being set in stone yet, but in the event of an agreement, we can expect a rapprochement between the major groups and a lot of structural changes in the market.

Remember that the takeover of Voo by Orange has not yet been finalized since it is the subject of an investigation by the European Commission.

A new gaming pack for Orange customers

Orange surprises, for its part, with a “gaming” offer with Microsoft. The operator is offering a new advantageous pack which includes an Xbox Series S console, 24 months of subscription to Gamepass Ultimate (the Netflix of video games) and 5 GB of additional data for its subscribers. The cost of this new “complementary” offer? €24.99/month all the same. For a period of 24 months. This remains advantageous for big players since the Gamepass subscription alone is billed at €12.99/month and the Xbox Series S is sold for €299.99 in stores. The customer therefore earns €11 over two years + 5 GB of data per month over a period of two years.

In other words, interesting, if you plan to buy a game console and you feel a little cramped with your mobile subscription.

A new player on the market

It was the newspaper L’Avenir which spotted the information. Youfone has started testing a new fixed Internet subscription offer with certain customers. The virtual mobile operator plans to offer fixed internet subscriptions for all its customers from 2023.

He could shake the market again with an economically advantageous offer. However, it will be necessary to listen carefully because de facto the brand has not been talked about a lot with consumers so far…
