The vote is carried out through a single ballot designed by the National Electoral Chamber, which contains as many divisions as there are competing political groups and shows the name and number of the list, with a space for casting a vote, which is expressed by marking each category with a letter x.

In France there are 5,565 Argentines registered; in Venezuela, 5,486; Australia, 5,234; Switzerland, 4,403; Japan, 1,858; China 587; Russia 177, and in much smaller numbers, there are fellow nationals living in other countries, such as Egypt, where 79 are registered; in Vietnam, 33; Qatar, 23; Trinidad and Tobago, 20; and Armenia 16.

Those with the lowest numbers are Jamaica and Iran, with 12 each; Barbados, eight; and Mozambique, five, while in Libya and Suriname two are registered in each of these countries.
