WhatsApp intends to make its application a benchmark for instant messaging. WhatsApp now wants its application to be used more and more for professional purposes by offering new options to users.

The application had already taken significant steps by introducing the deployment of the screen sharing function, which has opened up new opportunities. The objective now is to offer the possibility for users to style their messages in order to improve communications. It will thus be possible to react to excerpts from messages or even to make bulleted lists, which is practical for professional conversations.

Three new tools will soon be available

The first tool, called “Code Block”, will read lines of code, a useful function for developers who exchange words on WhatsApp. When code snippets are not displaying correctly in the chat window. You should know that this particular text formatting tool will above all avoid possible confusion.

The second tool is the “Quote” feature for quoting a specific part or phrase from a post or article. Although WhatsApp already has a quote feature that quotes a message in its entirety, this new feature is different from the current message quote feature because it shows the entire beginning of the intended message and not a specific part.

Regarding the third tool, WhatsApp fills a gap by implementing “Bullet Lists”. This feature, used in text editing programs, did not exist on WhatsApp. The lens will simplify the process of creating structured lists, removing the need to manually find and insert the bullet symbol.

These new tools have until now been reserved for WhatsApp for Desktop beta testers. The feature has just been made available to iOS and Android beta testers. These new functions should therefore see the light of day during the month of September.
