The official end of the summer season will soon be given, which began on December 21, 2021 and many people took advantage of the high temperatures to enjoy the pools, beaches and lakes of the country.
But the operation of summer time is very different from the date on which the season arrives, since according to what is established in the Supreme Decree 1,286 of 2018which was modified in 2019, indicates that the time change corresponding to summer time must be made on September 4.
This decree was published in the government of Sebastián Piñera and its expiration date is Saturday April 2, therefore, the person in charge of defining a new scheduling modality will be the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric.

When does the time change in Chile?
The time change in Chile is scheduled for next April 2, 2022 pTherefore, at 00:00 hrs on Saturday, the clocks must be set back by 60 minutes, so they should read 23:00 hrs.
This time change is considered for the entire national territory, except the Magallanes region and Chilean Antarctica.
