Fans of DC’s superhero series can rejoice: for example, the long-running The Flash, starring Grant Gustin, has once again been renewed – the story of the super-fast hero in tights from the Arrow universe will receive its ninth season. There is no need to be surprised here – the show is one of the most popular and rated CW projects, although the eighth season seemed to many fans to be somewhat final.
Along with The Flash, Superman and Lois will also remain on the small screen. Another story about the main DC superhero played by Tyler Hoechlin will continue in the third season. Focused on the theme of the value of family as revealed through the relationship of Clark Kent, his love Lois Lane and their children together, it also seems to be showing good viewership ratings.
The third season will also be released from another show, but not about superheroes – we are talking about the western “Walker” with the star of “Supernatural” Jared Padalecki. The crime drama, which is a technical restart of the popular in the 70s show “Cool Walker” (thanks to this show, Chuck Norris became famous in its time), has gathered an interesting cast, which, apparently, we will see in full force again.
In addition, the channel launched a spin-off project called Walker: Independence, which was commissioned by The CW earlier this year. By the way, the last episodes of the second season of “Walker” should be released on March 31 and April 7, respectively.
One of the CW’s most popular teen shows in collaboration with Netflix, Riverdale, will also continue into its seventh season. Despite the fact that the reviews of the fans of the project and the ratings of the last season turned out to be significantly worse than the previous ones, this had a minimal effect on the ratings of the channel.
Therefore, the story of a vicious town lost in the States, in which everything has just happened, and teenagers who finally had a chance to have characters of their own age, does not end there. It is known that the entire main cast in the face of Kay Jay Apa, Madeleine Petsch, Cole Sprouse and other faces familiar from the series will return in the next season.
And we will complete our digest of new products with the continuation of the Nancy Drew series. The serial interpretation of the popular children’s detective story, which followed the path of “Teen Wolf” and became a mystical youth drama, has also received the green light to produce a fourth season.
The main star was Kennedy McMann, who embodied the grown-up version of the girl detective. The project is considered the main competitor of Riverdale, because the shows are very similar in concept. And perhaps if Riverdale is canceled after the seventh season, then the detective story of Nancy Drew can become one of the main CW series.
