The public prosecutor’s office is investigating a total of nine suspects: eight boys and one girl between the ages of 15 and 18. According to the “Salzburger Nachrichten” report, these are Turks, Serbs and Austrians with a migration background.
Cell phone videos taken of attacks
A police spokesman confirmed the incident in December 2023 on Saturday. It was not made public due to victim protection. According to victim’s lawyer Sabina Moser to the “Salzburger Nachrichten”, the students were recently questioned in court all day long.
The criminal proceedings against the accused are primarily being conducted for the crime of “sexual abuse of a defenseless or mentally impaired person” (Section 205 of the Criminal Code). Two suspects are said to have made cell phone videos of the attacks. The police have now evaluated the cell phone videos. The previously blameless boys are at large.

The incident happened when the 15-year-old was alone with her 16-year-old friend in her parents’ apartment and the eight boys came over “to chill out”. As a result, a lot of alcohol was consumed and the two later victims were said to have quickly become very drunk. At least four to five of the boys are said to have been direct perpetrators of the girls – they committed sexual intercourse or sexual intercourse with the students.
