There is something new in the Stéphane Plaza team. From this Friday, March 18, 2022, a new decorator joins the show “House for sale”. This is Stéphanie Catanzano, a face still totally unknown to the small screen.
And Stephane Plaza is an extremely efficient real estate agent at finding new homes for his clients, or helping them sell their properties, decorating isn’t really his thing. Clumsy (because ofan invisible handicap from which he suffers) and distracted, the animator so appreciated by the general public knows how to surround himself with talented people, and when he embarks on a new project, he calls on decorators who are now well known to the general public: Sophie Ferjani and Emmanuelle Rivassoux. And now he could also count on Stéphanie Catanzano.
A former member of “Temptation Island”
Stéphanie Catanzano has not always been an interior designer. Graduated with a DEUG in Modern Letters option television at the Sorbonne, and a master’s degree in image communication at the EFAP (French School of Press Attachés), she then worked for many years in the television, but on the other side of the camera.
She was in charge of the castings for many shows such as “Oui Chef” and “Nouvelle Star”, but also “L’île de la temptation”. She also officiated as a producer on “Love is blind” (which made Nabilla known long before the Angels), or even “The villa of broken hearts”. And since she worked for major production houses such as Shine and BBC Studios, she had already had the opportunity to meet Stéphane Plaza: the two acolytes had known each other for 10 years before working together.
A late conversion
It was not until November 2020 that Stéphanie Catanzano decided to change careers. in full Covid-19 crisis, she wanted to leave the world of television. “At one point, I wanted to get away from production because I wanted a calmer life,” she told Télé-Loisirs. And by buying a damaged house with her husband, she decided to renovate it herself. A real “click” that decided her to change direction and create her own renovation and decoration brand. A career that seduced Stéphane Plaza, who decided to trust him and give him a role in his cult show.
Moreover, as she confided to our colleagues at TV Starit was he who came to pick her up: “Stéphane Plaza visited a house that I decorated and quickly offered to work with him on renovation and decoration projects. and he took me on the air. I said yes to him right away, without asking myself any questions. I still had to pass a casting for M6. The desire to work with him was mutual. is a very inspiring person, both on air and in life. He is always positive.”
In the columns of TV Mag, the host does not hide his enthusiasm: “I needed another joker, in addition to Carole Carat. And I brought him in because I appreciate his work and I like his personality.” A nice compliment.
