Ahsoka Tano, initially Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan, was led to rethink her role in the Jedi Order. This happened following a tragic event during the Clone Wars.
The New Republic and the disappearance of the Jedi Order
By the time of the New Republic, five years after Return of the Jedi, the Jedi Order had disappeared. The remaining Jedi were scattered across the galaxy. Order 66 wiped out most of the Jedi at the end of the Clone Wars. This had forced them to go into hiding, become Imperial Inquisitors, mercenaries, or join the Rebellion.
The turning point of the fifth season of The Clone Wars
However, it was not this event that caused Ahsoka to distance herself from the Jedi Order or her Master Anakin Skywalker.
