The departure of Edwin Cardona from Boca Juniors and the Argentine club’s refusal to make use of the purchase option it had with Xolos de Tijuana, is still a topic of conversation in Argentine soccer.
This Saturday, ‘TyC Sports’ interviewed Jorge Bermúdez, a member of the Soccer Council, who made it clear why Boca gave up giving Cardona continuity in the first team. The ‘Patron’, true to his style, did not keep anything, regretted the departure of Cardona, but took the opportunity to throw a ‘stick’ and remind him of the club’s gestures towards him that were not enough for the ’10’ to deliver everything.
Bermúdez recalled that 18 months ago, when Edwin’s loan from the Mexican Xolos was given to Boca, and “when the purchase action for Cardona was made and signed, it must be said that Boca brought him from Tijuana when he was not playing, where he was not he participates in training with the First Division ”.
