The Sports Court in Bolivia summoned Bruno Savo, the new Al-Ahly striker, through his former club, Bolivar, in order to investigate the expulsion of the player.
Savio received a red card in his team’s last game in the Bolivian League due to the exaggeration of the objection, which amounted to overtaking the referee of the match.
The Bolivian newspaper “El Diario” said that the player violated the unsportsmanlike behavior, mentioned the match referee in his report, and used the term “assault”, which caused the report to be referred to the Sports Court.
“The court notified us about the Savio case, but the Brazilian player has not been part of the team since September 9,” said Rodrigo Quiros, Bolivar’s legal official.
He continued, “We sent an explanation to the court because the player is no longer in the ranks of Bolivar, since September 9 he has left, and is no longer in the ranks of the team, and a letter must be sent to the club to which Savio belongs, not Bolivar.”
Quiros explained that the case regarding Savio was opened on September 10, one day after his departure from the club: “This is not a club case, it is a player, and we have nothing to do with the procedures.”
