In Sardinia the government led by the 5 Star Movement and the Democratic Party begins. With the installation of the Regional Council and the oath of the 12 councilors, 7 men and 5 women, the season of Alessandra Todde, former number two of the M5S, and winner of the last regional elections against the Fdi exponent Paolo Truzzu, officially begins. The sparks that characterize the national conflict do not seem to have had any impact on the attribution of roles and assignment of tasks and seem far from the building overlooking the port of Cagliari.
One councilor for three Councillors
The rule of one councilor for every three elected councilors was respected. And the two majority parties, the Democratic Party and M5s, were given the important departments: health, environment, industry and budget. Healthcare itself, which has a budget equal to half that of the entire Region, was at the center of a sort of tug of war between the Pd and the M5s.

Initially, according to some rumours, it was hypothesized that the Democratic Party would be entrusted, which then declined the offer in exchange for the other three important departments and the fourth position. Therefore the transition to the side of the president who on the benches of the Regional Council can also count on the support of the councilors elected from her list and to whom a department belongs.
Democratic Party Majority
The first party in the coalition is the Democratic Party with 11 elected councillors, which has four slots: three in the executive and one for the presidency of the legislative assembly. Specifically, Giuseppe Meloni, president of the regional Democratic Party, was appointed vice president of the executive and councilor for planning and budget. The former deputy and former Dem secretary Emanuele Cani is councilor for Industry while Rosanna Laconi, former mayor and head of the emergency room at the Polyclinic, councilor for the Environment. The Democratic Party also takes over the presidency of the legislative assembly with the election of Piero Comandini, regional secretary of the Democratic Party. A role for which some other names had also been hypothesized, from the most voted of the 5 stars to the minor parties but which then, by virtue of its weight within the regional assembly, went to the first party of the coalition.
5 Star healthcare and work
The 5 Star Movement, with its 7 councilors in the chamber plus the president, has two departments: Healthcare entrusted to the Roman oncologist Armando Bartolazzi presented, before the 2018 political elections, as possible Minister of Health and then appointed Undersecretary of Health of the Conte I Government An appointment that has given rise to several protests from representatives of the centre-right for the appointment of an external and non-Sardinian. Appointment at the Five Star quota which, however, the secretary of the Democratic Party Piero Comandini defined as «a coalition department with the construction around the councilor of a structure in which all the parties and movements of the coalition will be represented».
The 5 Star Movement also brings home the nomination of Desiré Manca, the most voted regional councilor ever with over 8 thousand preferences for the Labor Department.
