Eindhoven-born investor Wiet Pot ranks as the wealthiest person from the Dutch province of North Brabant at age 69, according to the newly released Quote 500 wealth ranking. Operating largely out of the spotlight in London, the former banker saw his net worth climb 15.7% to three billion euros, landing him at number 12 overall on the national list.
Wiet Pot Leads Regional Fortunes
- Top Brabander: Wiet Pot leads regional fortunes at €3 billion, ranking 12th nationally after a 15.7% asset gain.
- Extreme Volatility: Adriaan Mol suffered a nearly one-third drop in net worth down to €1 billion.
- Rapid Gains: Albert and Angela Peters doubled their fortune to 485 million euros following an exit.
A Low-Profile Fortune Built Outside the Spotlight
Despite managing a multibillion-euro portfolio, Wiet Pot spent years driving an old Renault. De Belegger previously characterized him as a man who earned billions without ever seeking the limelight.
While the country’s 500 wealthiest individuals command a combined total exceeding three hundred billion euros—representing a collective asset increase of more than ten percent—no native Brabander cracked the national top ten. Pot remains the highest-ranked regional figure, operating from his base in the United Kingdom.
Retail and Manufacturing Fortunes Across the Province
Other prominent Brabant business families occupy closely following positions on the national index. Colette, Frits, and Monique van Eerd of supermarket chain Jumbo control a combined 2.75 billion euros, advancing one spot to number 14 on the roster.
Colette van Eerd is married to Raymond Cloosterman, founder of Rituals, who sits at number 11 on the index. The couple divides their time between residences in Knokke, Belgium, and the Bommelerwaard region in Gelderland. Meanwhile, three Brabant siblings—Pieter, Jennifer, and Willem van der Leegte—hold the 15th position with an estimated fortune of 2.75 billion euros derived from Eindhoven family business VDL.

Kitchen Retail and Vitamin Exits Drive Regional Growth
Ben Mandemakers marked half a century in business with a 20% surge in personal wealth. The 70-year-old Waalwijk entrepreneur, whose name adorns the home stadium of football club RKC, climbed from position 24 to 17 on the annual index.
Further down the registry at number 46 sits Robbert van der Wallen of Vught. Well-known to football supporters as the president-commissioner of PSV, his wealth stems primarily from the trade sale of loyalty-program enterprise BrandLoyalty for slightly under one billion euros. He closes out the list of Brabant representatives within the top fifty.
Peters Siblings Double Capital as Mol Suffers Contraction
The sharpest percentage gains in the provincial roster emerged from Uden. Siblings Albert and Angela Peters more than doubled their combined capital from 190 million euros to 485 million euros following the divestment of the parent company behind vitamin pill brand Lucovitaal. Despite the expansion, their capital leaves them outside the top one hundred at position 116.
Conversely, the digital economy delivered steep corrections for regional tech founders. Adriaan Mol of Breda, of online payment processor Mollie, experienced a valuation contraction of nearly one-third. Despite the write-down ranking him among the index’s largest fallers, his remaining assets are valued at one billion euros, securing position 54.
