The first Patch Tuesday of the year 2023 gives birth to several Windows 10 and Windows 11 updates. It is also the last paid maintenance for Windows 7. The operating system is now completely abandoned by Microsoft.
The firm is at the origin of updates offering bug and security fixes. They apply to all supported versions of Windows. This first Patch Tuesday of 2023 is also an important meeting for another reason. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 operating systems are discontinued. From now on, no maintenance will be provided by Redmond. Crashes, bugs and other issues will remain as is.

Windows 8.1 is affected by 48 vulnerabilities, nine of which are considered critical. We find the eight concerns affecting Windows 7 and CVE-2023-21535a remote code execution vulnerability in Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol (SSTP).
The situation is just as important on the side of Windows 10. Windows 10 21H2 and 22H2 are affected by 63 vulnerabilities, 10 of which are critical. We find the faults of Windows 7, that of Windows 8.1 and an elevation of privilege vulnerability in Microsoft Cryptographic Services (CVE-2023-21551). The assessment is identical for Windows 11 (21H2 and 22H2).
All these security issues are fixed through various cumulative updates
