CHENNAI: Actor Mohan (60), who became famous for his Kamal Haasan film Apoorva Vahadan, was found dead on the street. The dead body was found on July 31, but it was only following a few days that the deceased was identified as Mohan. Locals saw the dead body on the roadside near Thiruparkundram temple in Madurai and informed the police. The body was then shifted to the hospital.
He was noted for his role as Appu in the 1989 film Apoorva Bhadra. He has acted in many films like Naan Kadavul, Aamaa Manitharkal. Thiruparanan moved to Kundra as opportunities dwindled. The last days were spent in extreme poverty. Locals say that he was a regular on the streets of Madurai.
After the post-mortem, the cremation will be held at his hometown Salem.
