With Saelemaekers scoring, AC Milan wins against Dinamo Zagreb (VIDEO)

The Milan victory took shape around half-time. Shortly before the break, Leao was wrongfully hung in the area. Giroud was responsible for converting the penalty (1-0, 45th) just before the teams returned to the locker room.

On his return, it was Alexis Saelemaekers who distinguished himself. The Red Devil was at the design and conclusion of a Milan action: he took over Leao’s cross with a header to double the hosts’ lead (2-0, 47th). Orsic then reduced the gap (2-1, 56th), after a superb collective action by the Croats led between the rossoneri defenders.

Charles De Ketelaere, who started the game on the bench, came on in the 68th minute in place of Olivier Giroud to play at the forefront of the attack. Pobega hit the nail on the head ten minutes later (3-1, 77th), just before Alexis Saelemaekers gave way to Junior Messias (78th).

Divock Origi was not on the Milan side’s score sheet. The striker was treated by the Red Devils medical staff to treat pain related to muscle fatigue.

AC Milan temporarily takes the lead in Group E with 4 points, 1 more than their opponent of the day. Chelsea, defeated on the first day by the Croats, will receive Salzburg (1 point) at 9 p.m.
