Works begin on 600 kilometers of trunk 10

Governor Ángel Marcano promised comprehensive work for a full recovery.

Repair work on trunk 10 began this Monday, Bolívar state governor Ángel Marcano announced.

In the radio program “Ángel Marcano Hoy”, from Upata, the regional president together with the mayors involved: Sergio Hernández, from Angostura del Orinoco; Yulisbeth García, from Piar; Vicente Rojas, from Sifontes; and Wuilhem Torrellas, from Roscio, announced the plan to apply.

Then he arrived at the entrance of Upata and stressed that “we will never rest in the work for the well-being of the people.”

In the program, the governor commented that the first phase of this plan is “sanitation”, in order to normalize the roads.

Marcano also assured that they will start from the Santa María sector, in Upata, “begins the asphalting plan and delivery of equipment, to begin the sanitation work on Trunk 10,” he added.

He commented that there are 600 kilometers that will be repaired, from Upata, Piar municipality to Santa Elena de Uairén, in Gran Sabana.

“The Upata-Guasipati, Guasipati-Tumeremo, Tumeremo-El Dorado, El Dorado-Km 88, Km 88-Santa Elena de Uairén sections will be attacked,” insisted the regional president. Each of them will depend on a different organism

The regional president said that these actions will generate more than a thousand jobs, in five work fronts, activated in sanitation and improvements in the sections.

The one in Upata-Guasipati is for the Government of Bolívar, with Mayor Torrellas and Mayor García.

Second group: Guasipati–Tumeremo, assumed by the Venezuelan Mining Corporation, managed by M/G Carlos Osorio.

The third front: Tumeremo-El Dorado, corresponds to the Ministry of Mines, headed by Admiral Williams Serantes Pinto.

The fourth team is El Dorado – Km 88, which is assumed by the Ministry for Transportation, and the fifth group goes from Km 88 – Santa Elena de Uairén, which is directed by the Ministry of Public Works.

Marcano made it clear that it is not a cloth of warm water, it is a job that will be done in depth and the goal is to completely clean up trunk line 10, and assured that soon “it will be possible to travel without fear.”

“We are fulfilling the task entrusted to us by President Nicolás Maduro, to improve the road access to the Common Market of the South (Mercosur) and Venezuelan tourism,” he explained.
