Moroccans let their joy burst on Place Cornavin
Several hundred supporters gathered at Geneva station. Horns, songs and flags punctuate the evening.
This Saturday evening, Moroccans let their joy burst out on Place Cornavin. Since 6 p.m., hundreds of people have been waving red and green flags all around the station. They have every reason to be proud: by beating Portugal, Morocco has just become the first African country to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup. Alongside them, Algerian and Tunisian flags remind us that this victory is for the whole Maghreb.
