– Tonight is WWE SmackDown, the blue show starts with the commentators welcoming us… then Pat McAfee comes to the ring! He welcomes us to Friday Night SmackDown but is interrupted by Austin Theory who enters. He begins to verbally attack Pat McAfee and tells him that they have unfinished business.
Pat McAfee tells him that it will never be the Austin Theory show and that it’s the “People’s Show”… The Rock’s music sounds and he enters then faces Austin Theory. The latter asks him if he knows which ring he is in… The Rock tells him to shut up, he doesn’t know how it works! The Rock takes off his jacket and throws it into the crowd. He looks around and tells us: “Finally… The Rock has come back to Denver!”
Austin Theory says he’ll try too: Finally…people can see The Rock and Austin in the ring again! The Rock makes a play on words with “A-Town” and “Asshole” and gets the crowd to chant “You’re an asshole” while talking about Austin Theory. Austin Theory attacks Rock but the latter hits a Spinebuster followed by his People’s Elbow! Pat McAfee also has fun doing a second People’s Elbow.
– Michael Cole mentions that Luke Gallows is currently on the injured bench.
Singles Match
AJ Styles vs Finn Balor accompanied by Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio
At the end of the match, Damian Priest tries to knock AJ Styles off the ring apron but the referee sends Priest and Dominik Mysterio backstage. AJ Styles attempts his Phenomenal Forearm but Finn Balor avoids it. Styles prepares his Styles Clash but Jimmy Uso manages to hinder AJ Styles behind the referee’s back, Finn Balor takes the opportunity to roll up and win.
Winner: Finn Balor
– Backstage, The Rock and Pat McAfee chat together. John Cena joins them and hugs the Rock!
– Backstage, Finn Balor joins Jimmy Uso and thanks him for his help. Jimmy Uso says they’re even. Balor says he saw Jey Uso on RAW and he’s sure he misses his brother. Balor asked Jey Uso to join Judgment Day and he didn’t say no. What if the Usos joined Judgment Day?
– The LWO makes its entrance. Rey Mysterio tells us that when he came to SmackDown a year ago, he was in a complicated period of his life. But then the LWO reminded him what a family is. He is now a United States champion and his family is united, stronger than ever. Santos Escobar says he is happy that Rey Mysterio managed to beat Austin Theory to become champion, his dream has always been to face his idol with a title on the line.
Santos Escobar demands a United States title match from Rey Mysterio. Rey Mysterio asks him if he is serious and accepts the challenge! Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits arrive on stage for a match between the Street Profits and the LWO.
Tag Team Match
Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) accompanied by Bobby Lashley vs LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) accompanied by Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega
At the end of the match, the Street Profits did their Revelation on Joaquin Wilde to win by pinfall in a very short match.
Winners: Street Profits
– After the match, Bobby Lashley orders the Street Profits to attack the LWO but Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar come to defend their teammates. Bobby Lashley knocks Escobar down then faces Rey Mysterio. Montez Ford holds Mysterio down and Angelo Dawkins sends him to the floor.
Singles Match
LA Knight vs The Miz
At the end of the match, LA Knight counters a hold from Miz then follows up with his BFT to win by pinfall.
Winner: LA Knight
– After the match, LA Knight wants to talk! He warned that he was coming for the gold, he doesn’t care if it’s Rey Mysterio, Gunther, Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns!
– Behind the scenes, Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa were watching the show on television. Sikoa says he will take care of the LA Knight problem, but Heyman tells him that Roman Reigns hasn’t given that order yet, they should focus on Jimmy Uso. Solo Sikoa says he knows what he has to do, he will fix it tonight. Paul Heyman immediately calls Roman Reigns.
– Backstage, Pretty Deadly joins Adam Pearce who tells them that they can wrestle again. Elton Prince tells him he’s injured and Pearce asks him what he does in a wheelchair if he has a shoulder injury…
– We review what happened last week around the WWE Women’s Title. We find Bayley and Dakota Kai backstage. Bayley tells her that Iyo Sky must win next week, she wonders why she accepted the challenge. Dakota Kai tells Bayley to take care of Asuka tonight.
Singles Match
Bayley accompanied by Dakota Kai vs Asuka
At the end of the match, Shotzi comes from the crowd and scares Bayley back into the ring, but Asuka waits for her then rolls her up to win.
Winner: Asuka
– Next week on SmackDown: Iyo Sky will defend her women’s title against Asuka / Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar will face the Street Profits.
– It’s time for the Grayson Waller Effect! Grayson Waller asks us to welcome John Cena who makes his entrance! Waller says he watched Payback and John Cena needed to be as host, he stole the show. He has to be like Grayson Waller, he has to let the stars shine. John Cena couldn’t help himself, he came back into the ring, but not as a wrestler, as a special referee.
John Cena doesn’t want to wrestle anymore. It is certain that John Cena is the greatest of all time, but it is certain that he is not currently. John Cena hasn’t been the same since Austin Theory beat him at WrestleMania! John Cena begins to take off his cap and t-shirt. Grayson Waller tells him it’s a talk show, they’re here to talk. Jimmy Uso comes out and tells John Cena that Waller is right, no one wants John Cena here. Everyone comes to see Jimmy Uso.
Solo Sikoa’s music sounds and he arrives with Paul Heyman. Solo Sikoa faces John Cena… he prepares a Simoan’s Spike on Jimmy Uso but hits a Superkick on John Cena! Sikoa and Jimmy Uso attack John Cena but AJ Styles comes to defend Cena! Solo Sikoa is sent out of the ring, while John Cena does his Five Knuckle Shuffle and attempts his AA but Jimmy Uso manages to remove his brother
