Kota Nozane to participate in 2023 Moto2 World Championship

Kota Nozane, who is competing in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK), has decided to participate fully in the Moto2 World Championship in 2023 from the “Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team”.
Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. will continue to support Nozane from next year onward as a role model for young riders aiming to advance to the world stage.

“Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team” was established in 2017 with the cooperation of VR46 Junior Team .SRL. Until 2018, I participated in FIM CEV Moto3 (Junior World Championship), and from 2019 to 2021, I participated in FIM CEV Moto2 (European Championship).
From 2022, in conjunction with the Yamaha rider development program “bLU cRU”, which is being held around the world, riders will improve their skills at the world championship level and work as a project aiming for MotoGP.

In 2020, Nozane won his first championship in the JSB1000, the highest peak of the All Japan Road Race Championship. From 2021, he will move to Europe and start participating in WSBK, the world’s highest production race. In his first year, he was ranked 14th, and after 8 races this season, he is ranked 19th. He has competed in Moto2 once in 2012 and three times in 2013.
