Yoon Tae-sik, head of the tax department at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance… Selected as an international financial expert

On the 27th, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance appointed Yoon Tae-sik, director of international economic management (pictured) as the new head of the tax office.

The former head of the tax office, Kim Tae-joo, is said to have resigned on the 25th after taking responsibility for the error in last year’s tax revenue estimate. This day’s appointment was made in accordance with the policy issued by Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance on the 17th, saying, “I will break down the closed personnel structure of the tax office.” The Ministry of Strategy and Finance’s tax office estimated last year’s tax revenue, showing an error of 60 trillion won compared to the main budget and 30 trillion won compared to the second supplementary budget.

Director Yoon is the head of the International Finance Bureau, who served as the head of the International Finance Bureau and the head of the Trade Policy Division. This is a point that differentiates them from the former tax office heads who have accumulated 10 to 20 years of experience in the tax office from the days of first-time officers or managers.

Director-level personnel, who were also held together, focused on personnel exchanges by office. Han Kyung-ho, head of the Financial Management Bureau, who has had experience in the foreign economy and financial management fields, has been appointed as the Social Budget Deliberator of the Budget Office, and Park Geum-cheol, a former tax officer, has been appointed as the Administrative Defense Budget Review Officer. Shin Shin-beom, who also had little experience in the tax office, was appointed as the successor to the property consumption tax policy officer.
