FLORIDA, CAMAGÜEY- “In Camagüey I feel at home”, assured Rafael González Muñoz, national president of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS)when the assembly process of the IV Congress of the organization starts today in the Camagüey branch.
A meeting with the members of the cell of the municipality Florida on the morning of this Monday, it served to mark the beginning of the debate program, which will last until Tuesday with the meeting of various sections.
González Muñoz highlighted the work carried out in the territory in defense of the artistic vanguard, and described the Florida cell as a benchmark at the country level, since it has become, together with the sociocultural project Abriendo Brechas (extension of Golpe a coup) in a essential link for the development of the cultural programming of the municipality.
During the exchange carried out in the Centro Cultural Literario Negro Bembón, from that town, the associates presented their criteria on the functioning of the organization. The need to promote communication products in social networks was raised, to speed up the growth processes of the association, to motivate young people to become members, and to connect with creators and events in other provinces.
“It is as important to produce food as it is to enjoy art, and even more so what our young people do,” said Liliana Boudet Nápoles, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Florida, who since taking office a few days ago prioritizes the link with institutions cultural. “They have the doors open for everything they want to dream about.”
In the assembly, Gildo Borrell Cáceres was ratified as coordinator of the cell and several associates were proposed for the new provincial and national presidency, in addition to the candidates for delegates to the IV Congress.
The meeting also served to show the artistic talent of the territory in the Ventanas a las Letras club, where Rafael González was encouraged to share some of his poems with those present. “Something that only Camagüey achieves”, according to his own words.
In the month of October the IV Congress of the AHS will be held under the slogan “Join the challenge”. The representation from Camagüey at this event will be elected in July together with the new executive and president of the Camagüeyan affiliate.
