Young people smash a series of car windows to get money for Tet

On January 21, the Criminal Police Department of Hanoi City Police detained Vuong Van Nam (born in 1988, residing in Dan Phuong district) to investigate the case of breaking car windows to steal property.

Before that, at dawn on January 18, Nam rode his motorbike on Xuan Tao street and then went to the dike road to cross Long Bien bridge. Seeing a wallet in the car parked by the dike, Nam broke the window, stole the property and left.

Checking in his wallet, Nam found 16.5 million VND and a Samsung phone. After that, Nam took the money to buy Tet goods and spent more than 10 million VND, the rest was spent on personal expenses.

More than 24 hours after receiving the news, the Criminal Police Department of the Hanoi Police Department in coordination with the Long Bien District Police arrested Vuong Van Nam.

In addition to the above case, the police agency determined that Vuong Van Nam also caused 8 cases of theft of property of many other car owners in Hanoi and Bac Ninh.

Police records show that Nam has two previous convictions for Intentional Injury and Theft.

The case is currently under investigation.
