Yuberjen asks the Government to fulfill Luis’s dream: “a little house for his mother”

Yuberjen Martínez, the Latin flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council, he reminded his friend this friday night Luis Quinones who came to fire the Los Olivos Funeral Home before the funeral procession left for Barrancabermeja, where he will be buried.

He said that today the national boxing is in mourning for what happened with Luis Quiñones. “We feel saddened, we come to accompany the family and friends who have been pending,” he pointed.

He recalled that on Saturday at the time of Quiñones’ fall, he was in the dressing room changing, when his colleague happened.

Yuberjen’s last conversation with Luis was on the eve of the fight. It happened at the weigh-in when Luis told him regarding his dreams and why he practiced the rough sport.

He was a very dreamy boy and he talked to him regarding that desire, like all the athletes who come from below, to fulfill his mother’s dreams, to get ahead, more than anything, he dreamed of a national titlehim,” he said.

According to what he said, the dream of giving his mother a house was what he talked regarding the most. That’s why “he dreamed and got up every day.

At that moment, he took the opportunity to draw the attention of the authorities to support him in that purpose in which he is already working with his team.

He asks that the Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of Sport join in this purpose “so that they speak out to see what we can do to fulfill their dream and not be left in a vacuum following Luis’s death”.
