The Women’s Media Network honored outstanding female journalists once more this year on Monday evening: The Vienna Journalist Prize 2023 went to the “Kurier” journalist and author Yvonne Widler. The jury for the journalist award praised Widler’s “tenacity in repeatedly dedicating herself to socially and socio-politically explosive topics.” Widler was particularly impressed with “her sensitive reporting on femicides and women affected by violence.”
