“Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority foils attempts to smuggle over 290,000 Captagon pills and 77 kg of hashish”

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at Al-Wadiah and Al-Haditha crossings managed to thwart two attempts to smuggle (293,402) Captagon pills and regarding (77) kilograms of hashish, which were found hidden in two trucks that came to the Kingdom through the two crossings.

The authority stated that in the first attempt, Al-Wadiah Customs managed to thwart the smuggling of (110,200) pills and (76.9) kilograms of hashish, which were hidden in a newly created tank in the floor of a “private” vehicle carried on one of the trucks coming through the port.

She added: In the second attempt, Modern Customs was able to thwart the smuggling of 183,202 Captagon pills, which were found hidden in separate parts of one of the trucks coming through the port.

The authority also stated that following completing the seizure operations, coordination took place with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control to ensure the arrest of the recipients of the seizures inside the Kingdom, where they were arrested, numbering 6 people.
