Today, Tuesday, the Zamalek Club Board of Directors officially announced its apology for not participating in the Egyptian Super match against Al-Ahly in the Emirates.
And the club published on its official account on “Twitter” a tweet in which it said: “The board of directors of Zamalek Club, headed by Counselor Mortada Mansour, decided unanimously to apologize for not participating in the Egyptian Super Cup, which is scheduled to be held on May 5 in the UAE.”
The statement issued by the club stated that Mansour confirmed that the decision came “due to a series of intransigent and continuous decisions from the Football Association, starting with the crisis of restricting winter deals and depriving the team of the efforts of new players, leading to the crisis of stopping the player Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba.”
The statement added that Mansour “was keen to apologize to the Emirates, the organizers, and the fans of Zamalek and Al-Ahly, who booked the tickets for the meeting, stressing that the decision came to preserve the rights of Zamalek in light of the Football Association’s favoritism to the other party.”
